Populate Ship Address

Purchase order Ship To address is populated

This app populates the Ship To address in the 6-6-1 Purchase Orders screen with the address entered in the 4-4 Vendors screen. The following fields on the 6-6-1 screen are filled in: Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip.

Setup:

  1. Vendor name must be entered in User Def2 field on the 6-6-1 Purchase Orders screen exactly as it is written in the 4-4 Vendors screen.
  2. The address must be filled in on the 4-4 Vendors screen.
  3. The zMaxOneClick app must be ran on an existing 6-6-1 Purchase Order record.

Steps:

  1. New Purchase Order:
  2. Enter purchase order in the 6-6-1 Purchase Orders screen (Make sure the User Def2 field has the vendor name in it), save and recall.
  3. Click the zMaxOneClick app and choose Populate Ship Address.
  4. A confirmation box will appear, click Yes.
  5. The ship to address will populate.
  6. Click save or move to the next record.
  7. Existing Purchase Order:
  8. Open the 6-6-1 Purchase Orders screen to the appropriate record.
  9. Make sure the User Def2 field has the vendor name in it.
  10. Click the zMaxOneClick app and choose Populate Ship Address.
  11. A confirmation box will appear, click Yes.
  12. The ship to address will populate.
  13. Click save or move to the next record.
  15. REVERSIBLE
  16. The Ship To address can always be changed or removed.

Story:

Joe Contractor has one vendor that he orders material from and another Expediter vendor that gathers all the material and delivers it to the job at one time. Each time he creates a purchase order, he has to look up the Expediter's address to put it in the ship to address. It is taking too much time to look the address up each time a purchase order is written.

Process:

This app populates the Ship To address in the 6-6-1 Purchase Orders screen with the address entered in the 4-4 Vendors screen. The following fields on the 6-6-1 screen are filled in: Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip.

Return on Investment:

The zMaxOneClick app fills in the ship to address for him. He no longer has to look the address up or worry about typos.
