Creates import document for Ovation Payroll

This app exports data from the 5-2-2 Payroll Records into a Notepad document in the format required to be imported into the Ovation Payroll system.

Setup:

  1. Specify output directory.
  2. Specify file name pattern.
  3. Payroll must be entered in the 5-2-2 Payroll Records screen and the status must be 1-Open.
  4. The zMaxOneClick app must be run before running the 5-2-3 final compute.

Steps:

  1. After payroll has been entered, open the 5-2-3 Compute payroll screen.
  2. Click on the zMaxOneClick app and choose Ovation Payroll Export.
  3. The 'Save As' screen will appear, choose the appropriate location and file name and click save.
  4. A confirmation screen will appear once the file has been created, click yes to view it.
  5. Proceed with importing the file into Ovation Payroll.

Story:

Joe Contractor uses a system called Ovation Payroll to process his payroll. His is currently entering the hours for each employee in Sage for job costing and Ovation for payroll. This is causing payroll processing to take double the time that it should.

Process:

This app exports data from the 5-2-2 Payroll Records into a Notepad document in the format required to be imported into the Ovation Payroll system.

Return on Investment:

Data entry has been eliminated! Now Joe can enter his payroll into Sage and import the data into Ovation.
